Established 1959.

We are truly a family business.

Cliff’s Septic was started in July 1959 by M.C. “Cliff” Bennett.  Mr. Bennett came to Hernando county from New Port Richey, FL, where he was in business with his older brother, Mr. William “Bill” Bennett. Cliff owned and operated the company along with Mrs. M.C. “Bonnie” Bennett until the company business was sold to Mr. J.R. “Bob” Sartor in July 1976.  Bob was the oldest son of Bonnie Bennett.

On July 1, 1976, Mr. Sartor incorporated the business and changed its name to Cliff’s Septic Tank Services, Inc. Mr. Sartor Sr. operated the business until 1992 when his oldest son John R. “Jay” Sartor Jr. joined the company as a management trainee.  In 1994, the youngest son, Jason M. Sartor joined the company in the same capacity.

The business was then located at 1115 S. Main St., Brooksville, FL.  In January 1997 the company was relocated to 18441 Hard Rock Road, Brooksville, FL.  The company is still currently located at that location on a 10 acre site. The company is an ongoing third generation business, spanning a period of uninterrupted service and ownership of 50 years.  It operates as a subchapter S corporation.  Mr. Sartor is President, John Jr. and Jason are Vice Presidents, each having 33 1/3% interest in the business.
